About Luo Foundation
Luo Foundation is a non-political and not-for-profit umbrella organization bringing together all Luo sub-ethnic tribes to; celebrate, nurture, preserve Luo culture and Art while with it, promoting Development in and among the Luo Community.
Established and registered in Canada as a Not-for-Profit Organization Registration Number 1192295-5. This is an umbrella organization bringing together all Luo sub-tribes in and from Uganda namely; Acholi, Alur, Lango, Jopadhola, Acholi Labwor, Copee, Jonam, and the wider global Luo Community to; celebrate, nurture, preserve Luo Culture, Art.

Culture as the Center for Development:
At Luo Foundation, the cardinal value guiding our work is that culture provides the bed rock for any development, with a sense of identity, moral and ethical values and protection, all of which form the core for any sustained development.
Respect:
Respect for one’s self, culture, beliefs and attributes contribute to peace, harmonious living and fosters development, we respect the individual space of a person, community and their societal systems.
